Sophia Thakur is an award-winning poet and emerging music artist whose spellbinding live show has sold out The Royal Albert Hall, The Jazz Cafe, Abbey Road and other legacy venues around the world. Blending poetry with neo-soul, silky afrobeat and folk musicians, Sophia creates deeply musical and moving live experiences that leave audiences enchanted by her storytelling. Her impact on reimagining poetry's home in live music earned her a place on the Forbes 30 under 30 list. Named by the BBC as “The Poet of this Generation” and celebrated in Vogue’s Women of the Year issue as “One of the most adored poets of our time,” Sophia is widely recognised as one of the defining storytellers of her generation, on stage and in literature.
Alongside her live experience, Sophia has brought poetry into the music of Jacob Banks, NAO, Limoblaze, Tiana Major9, and in 2025 released her debut single My City, described by Earmilk as “a piece of art that can cut through a busy day and stop you in your tracks with its sheer beauty.”
